Being a sommelier is more than just knowing about wine — it’s about connection, storytelling, and creating moments people remember. Every bottle tells a story — of the land it came from, the people who crafted it, and the journey it took to reach your glass. My job is to bring that story to life.
As a sommelier, I get to translate the language of wine into an experience — pairing the right glass with the right dish, the right mood, and the right moment. It’s about understanding people just as much as understanding vintages. You learn to read expressions, listen for excitement, and anticipate what will make someone’s evening just a little more special.
There’s a beautiful rhythm to it — from studying terroir and vintages to walking the dining room floor, introducing guests to something new. Some nights, it’s a bold Cabernet that brings conversation alive. Other nights, it’s a delicate Champagne that celebrates a milestone. But always, it’s about joy, connection, and passion poured into every glass.
For me, being a sommelier isn’t a job — it’s a craft, a calling, and a way to bring people together through the love of wine and food.
